D&D Note (3.15.2018) ~ Rally Stalls Out ~
Markets today saw a nice rally midday but around the time the negative Walmart news came out the major indices all declined. A whistle blower says Walmart mislead on their e-commerce reports.
The DOW finished up 0.47%
The S&P finished down -0.08% at the 50 day of 2747.33 points
The NASDAQ finished down -0.20%
More negative news came out today in Robert Mueller subpoenas the Trump Organization for documents related to Russia. The is now the first time we have seen Mueller specifically look into Russia’s involvement in the 2016 United States election.
Music streaming service Spotify announced they will start trading April 3rd in a non-traditional public listing of a companies stock by forgoing the actual IPO and just list the stock to begin trading. The ticker will be SPOT.
Crypto remains under heavy selling pressure after a long list of negative headlines of recent surrounding regulation and the liquidation of Mt Gox holdings of bitcoins. After a bankruptcy the Mt Gox trustee has sold $400 million of Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash. Many had thought the selling from Mt Gox was over, however yesterday news broke that there will be more selling but not until September.
