D&D Note (6.6.2018) ~ Cannabis Stocks Catch A Fire ~
Ahead of the vote to legalize recreational use tomorrow in Canada, Cannabis Stocks (better known as Pot Stocks) rallied big today. All D&D Cannabis holdings gained on the day with MEDFF up 9.88%, IMLFF up 8.92%, APHQF up 4.36%, CNTTF up 3.92%, CGC up 2.75%.
The Financial Sector rallied today with Interest rates rising. BAC gained 3.16%, JPM gained 2.34%, C gained 2.20%.
The US 10-YR Yield rose to 2.972% (up 0.053). The ECB has begun to signal they are going to be ending their QE.
FANG Stocks slumped on the session with FB falling -0.83%, AMZN down -0.04%, GOOG losing -0.24%. NFLX turned green at the close to finish up 0.44%
Boeing was the largest gainer today on the DOW rising 3.18%. The DOW Index crossed 25000 today to close at hits highs of the session gaining 346 points at 1.40% to close at 25146.
The NASDAQ and Russell 2000 both hit all time highs on the session.
Tesla rallied 9.74% today on news from Elon Musk that the company is going to hit the target of 5,000 cars a week by the end of the month.
Today D&D closed our position in Industrial stock ITW cutting our losses in the holding.
Upcoming events that could move markets are the G7 meeting in Canada and the North Korea Summit.
